Some in office training will be required at 3448 N. 1st Ave., Tucson, AZ, 85719 Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour We are looking for a mission-driven bookkeeper and executive assistant with a track record as successful as our academic programs, a desire to be part of the foundation of an entrepreneurial organization in a growth phase, and a goal of creating one of the best back offices nationwide. We need a multitasker, a polymath - prodigious across a variety of tasks. Responsibilities for the position will include processing daily transactions that include but are not limited to: Process vendor invoices weekly Code and post invoices, ensure proper entry into Sage Intacct (accounting system) Make sure we have supporting documentation (3-way match) to support invoice to pay Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices and credits Track unentered invoices by reaching out to appropriate staff, emailing reminder notices Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements. Respond to vendor inquiries. Process payment via check and credit card. Ensure payment is made in a timely manner. Process requisitions through Procurify (procurement platform) High School diploma or GED No prior professional experience required Ability to calculate figures, and amounts such as discounts, interest, and proportions Effective oral and written communication skills General understanding of accounting practices and principles Some experience with QuickBooks preferred.
