Corporate Audit Services partners with SRP's Board of Directors and management to proactively address the changing business environment. We are committed to understanding and satisfying our customers' needs and expectations at every possible opportunity.We pride ourselves in our ability to maintain strong, collaborative relationships with our customers.Together with our customers, we aggressively work at maintaining open communication, and providing objective reviews with valuable insight and recommendations.This part-time position includes a variety of work assignments from audit support activities to involvement in the actual phases of planning, fieldwork, and reporting in an audit. It is anticipated students will be required to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, with more hours available based upon schedules.The selected candidate will be involved in both technical and non-technical tasks. Activities will allow for work to be completed individually as well as in a team environment with opportunity for collaboration with other departments within SRP.JobResponsibilitiesTechnical activities may include:Work with internal audit team members completing tasks relating to audit projects including performing risk assessmentsAssist in updating and creating data analytics reports using analytical and presentation softwareUtilize risk assessment tools to assess levels of risk and designing audit procedures to fulfill objectivesPerforming audit procedures, including interviews, observations, inspections, utilizing sampling methods, re-performance of controls, and attribute testing)Assist in the development of conclusions and reporting of audit resultsNon-Technical tasks may include:Assist in maintaining and organizing audit tools and templatesUpdate and identify areas for improvement within department processesAssist in audit process administration and status reportingEducationCollege level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.ExperienceKnowledge & SkillsPreferred skills include familiarity with the following:Accounting and Computer Systems aptitude with intense interest in learningProblem solving, analytical, and project management skillsEffective written and verbal communicationStrong work ethicPositive attitudeReliability and accountabilityGood organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with more emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and WordExperience with any of the following is a plus:Enterprise accounting systems (SAP, Oracle)Data analytics software (ACL, SAS, general report writing)SharePointFrameworks such as IPPF, COBIT, NISTGenerally Accepted Accounting Principles and Auditing StandardsAdditional InformationSelected candidate must be enrolled in college, preferably in an Accounting and/or IT-related curriculum such as Computer Information Systems and have completed coursework to develop skills appropriate for the assignment.Requisition DetailsRequisition ID:14410Equal Opportunity Employer Statement Salt River Project (SRP) recognizes diversity and inclusion as key drivers of innovation and growth, and seeks to attract a diverse employee base that reflects our community.
