SUMMARY

Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor

students' performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity.

Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Arizona Special Education Certificate, K-12 - CCS

OR

Arizona Special Education Certificate, K-12 - Mild-Moderate

OR

Arizona Special Education Intellectual Disabilities Certificate, K-12

OR

Arizona Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle Grades OR Secondary Certificate WITH Mild-Moderate Special Education Endorsement, PreK-12

OR

Arizona Special Education - Hearing Impaired, Visually Impaired, Early Childhood Special Education OR Moderate/Severe Disabilities WITH Mild-Moderate Special Education Endorsement, PreK-12

Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students

Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

COMMENTS

Effective: 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR

Location: Palo Verde High Magnet School - 22nd St. & Kolb Area

FTE: 1.0- 7.5 hours per day

Work Calendar: 9.5month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on salary schedule, please reference the Employee Agreements Webpage.

New Teachers to the District may be eligible for a one-time recruitment stipend (up to $5,000) if hired into one of the following positions: Ex Ed, Math, Science.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
