WLE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our WLE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability. The *WLE Reliability Engineering Team* ensures optimal product design and life cycle support in terms of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) of our delivered systems. We are looking for a *Principal Reliability Engineer* to join our Reliability team located in Tucson, AZ. Your overall responsibilities will include:* Performing all aspects of RAM activity to ensure that the customer system performance and field operational requirements are measured and compliant.* Collaborating across integrated product teams to support Senior Engineering tasking. * Serving as a reliability data acquisition liaison between Raytheon and its Partners. If you're passionate about what you can accomplish here, we'd love to hear from you.*Responsibilities to Anticipate:* * Perform Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) tasks, including trend analysis and failure investigations* Assess RAM performance: Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Operational Availability (Ao)* Perform Reliability Predictions and Statistical Analysis: Failure Modes Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA)* Participate in Reliability Test Planning and Execution: Accelerated, Growth and Demonstration to include Ordnance Service Life Health Assessments* Conduct Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) studies* Perform sneak analysis for component parts and subassemblies* Conduct DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages) studies* Coordinate, administer and participate in Failure Review Boards (FRB)* Use advanced statistical techniques and modelling to interpret and analyze trends or patterns in complex data sets to include part usage rates* Assess and implement data collection systems and strategies that optimize statistical efficiency, data quality and process improvementThis job is posted as Hybrid. Commuting costs to and from the Tucson facility are the responsibility of the incumbent.*Qualifications You Must Have:**Typically Requires:* Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience OR an Associate's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience. In the absence of a college degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.*Employment Experience: ** Experience with: Reliability Engineering or System Reliability Engineering and / or design-to-manufacturing.* The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a secret clearance.
