Marmalade Skies is an educational agency that helps children of all ages uncover their true academic potential while having fun. We help families map a path for success through our integrated services and programs. We also believe that the learning plan for each child may require different modalities, so we integrate intensive tutoring in reading, writing, and math with speech therapy, occupational therapy, vision therapy, and behavioral support. *Description of our company:*

Everywhere you turn, children are expected to know how to read. Even in math and science classes, the ability to read is as important as it is in language arts. Most children who need help learning to read benefit from an Orton-Gillingham approach. This is considered the gold-standard of reading instruction, which is: phonics-based, systematic, multisensory, intensive, clear and direct.


*Your Role:*

You would be a member of our part-time tutoring team! We offer tutoring in the areas of reading and writing. Your role would be to implement our reading and/or writing programs to our clients. This may be in a a 1-1 setting or small group (1-3 or 1-5). We provide you with everything you need! We also provide substantial and ongoing training so that you feel prepared and knowledgeable. All sessions take place in our Center (even if they are virtual). Our clients are both seen in-person and online (via Zoom).


This is a great position for educators who want to grow in their learning of special needs or in how to teach reading/writing to children with disabilities. It offers lots of schedule flexibility, training, education, and support. We have a warm, welcoming environment and a stellar group of instructors, administrators, and tutors.


We are open 7 days a week for the convenience of the busy families whom we serve!


*Our hours of operation are:*


* Mon-Fri 8 am-6 pm

* Sat 8am - 1 pm

* Sun 8am - 1pm


*Minimum Qualifications:*


* Experience with children

* Experience in a classroom

* Experience as a tutor


*Ideal Qualifications:*

Experience or certification in any of the following areas:


* Speech language pathology or speech therapy

* Autism

* Occupational therapy

* Dyslexia

* Special eduation

* Classroom teaching

* Writing proficiency

* Use of a reading program


We are hiring for several different scheduled work shifts. if you're a good fit for our company, we will help create a shift that works for your schedule! In general, we are hiring for:


* *Weekday morning* (ex. Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 am - 12 pm)

* *Weekday afternoon* (ex. Tuesdays and Thursdays 4 pm - 6 pm

* *Weekend morning* (ex. Saturdays from 8 am - 1 pm)

*Rate of Pay*: $15-20/hr depending on experience and education.
