Job Description Job Description Salary: $17 Position Summary The Center Support Teacher plays a vital role in maintaining smooth, consistent operations throughout the center. This position provides classroom coverage and instructional support wherever needed each day, ensuring high-quality care, supervision, and engagement for children across all age groups. The Center Support Teacher works in alignment with the mission, goals, and curriculum standards of Building Kidz Preschool, offering flexibility and continuity to help each classroom operate at its highest potential. Key Responsibilities Provide daily classroom support across age groups as needed. Assist lead teachers with classroom activities, routines, and transitions. Conduct focused observations and assist with documentation of childrens developmental progress. Support the implementation of curriculum-based lessons and enrichment activities. Help evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of child development experiences. Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of all children at all times. Maintain positive, professional, and consistent communication with families. Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient learning environment. Collaborate with center leadership and teaching staff to promote a nurturing, team-oriented culture. Follow all Arizona state licensing (ADHS) requirements and Building Kidz policies. Schedule & Experience Requirements Schedule: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM Minimum of 6 months experience in a licensed childcare center required. 1 year of childcare experience preferred. Must meet all state experience requirements for licensed childcare staff. Educational & Certification Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Food Handlers Card (or willingness to obtain). Must meet Arizona state education requirements for childcare licensing. 24 ECE units or CDA preferred. Physical Demands & Work Environment Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Must be able to operate school vehicals. Ability to stand and move for up to 95% of the workday. Frequent bending, sitting on the floor, and transitioning from low to standing positions. Participate in active indoor and outdoor play (running, jumping, dancing). Must have adequate hearing and vision to supervise children safely.
