GHD has an opportunity for a Senior Environmental Geoscientist / Engineer / Scientist to support our Tucson, AZ team! Our global local teams specialize in environmental engineering, waste management and water and our support by our full-service engineering design center. The team completes environmental site assessments and remediation, provides environmental services to both public and private sector clients across the Americas, assesses environmental impacts, completes risk assessments, and mitigates long term environmental risks through the development and monitoring of remedial systems and risk management measures. Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage projects including budgets, project teams and timelines
  • Supporting strategic pursuits, including growth in both the Private and Public Sectors
  • Provide Senior Technical Leadership in project delivery
  • Contribute to business planning to identify opportunities to grow GHD's market share
  • Overseeing -environmental monitoring and site assessments
  • Establish, grow, and maintain client relationships
  • Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of technical reports
  • Work within multi-disciplinary project teams, providing environmental expertise to GHD teams
  • Opportunity to work on local, national, and global projects, which may at times entail supporting other GHD office locations
  • Support and mentor junior team members in a learning and collaborative atmosphere What you will bring to the team:
    • Experience with recalcitrant/emerging contaminants, PFAS a plus
    • Experience in the technical delivery of environmental investigation and remediation projects
    • Experience or willingness to serve clients and manage communications with regulators
    • Understanding of Federal, State and local/county environmental regulations
    • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and report writing skills
    • Strong commitment to client service excellence
    • Experience developing conceptual site models and preparing remediation strategies
    • Experience completing contaminant fate and transport evaluations
    • Experience developing and preparing reports for submittal and regulator acceptance
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with clients and project team
    • Experience preparing graphics and reports that present complex technical content in a clear and concise format Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's Degree in geology/hydrogeology, geochemistry, environmental science, environmental engineering, civil engineering, geological engineering, or discipline relevant to environmental site assessment or remediation
      • 7+ years-experience, including experience with recalcitrant or emerging contaminants
      • Arizona geologist or engineer registration preferred
      • Strong team worker, flexible and hard working
      • Attention to detail and a thorough approach to work
      • Ability to multitask
