Job Description:

Nesco Engineering and IT is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a Direct opportunity in Tucson, AZ.Essential functions and Responsibilities:

  • Transistor level design of high voltage and high-power op-amps and PWM motor drives using discrete semiconductor and passive components in hybrid and SMT assembly technologies.
  • Specification and selection of discrete semiconductors, passive components, and IC (Integrated Circuits) components for use in analog and mixed-signal designs.
  • Hybrid and SMT circuit layout supervision.
  • Bread boarding/prototyping
  • Conduct design verification and validation.
  • Collaborate with marketing, test, product, and applications engineers to develop high-performance analog and mixed-signal products from the initial concept phase throughout the product release process.
  • Participate in product definition and design specification.
  • Create the necessary design and product documentation and participate in design reviews.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested.Management Responsibilities:
    • Manage design projects and small project teams as needed.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
      • Proficiency in computer aided design tools including Spice simulation, post processing, and schematic capture.RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:
        • BS in Electrical Engineering; AND
        • 10+ years of relevant industry experience (electronics) with a background in analog/mixed-signal designPreferred Qualifications:
          • Advanced Engineering degree.
          • Proven competence in operational amplifier design.
          • Power circuits design and development.
          • Experience with hybrid microcircuit or multichip module technologies.
          • Design team lead experience including coordination of cross-functional product development resources.
          • Schedule planning and tracking using software tools such as MS Project.
          • Hybrid and board-level circuit layout experience.
