Job Description:
Nesco Engineering and IT is currently seeking a Facilities
Engineer for a DIRECT HIRE opportunity in Tucson, AZ. General
Description: The Facilities Engineer is a position reporting to the
Chief Facilities Engineer. The position requires a strong technical
background and good supervisory and organizational skills. The
Facilities Engineer interacts with people in all levels of the
organization, as well as vendors, contractors, and representatives
from government agencies, therefore good communication skills are
also required. Leadership and attention to detail are required
characteristics. Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform Facilities Engineering functions
- Perform Industrial Engineering functions
- Perform production method improvements
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor and Chief Facilities Engineer
in the overseeing of the maintenance department Education and
Experience Requirements:
- BS in Engineering; Industrial or Mechanical preferred
- Minimum 5 years' experience with manufacturing facilities and
production activities.
- Experience with:
- Boilers and boiler water chemistry
- Hydraulic systems
- Vacuum pump systems
- Air compressors and air dryers
- Piping diagrams, sizing and selection
- HVAC and plant ventilation design
- Sprinkler systems
- Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Office, CMMS, and use of the
internet to locate equipment, parts, and technical
information.
- Ability to direct and focus internal and external work
groups
- Flexible, "hands on " style, able to work well with co-workers
Special Tasks and Focus Areas :
- Perform Facilities Engineering functions
- Maintaining infrastructure
- Facilities planning
- Production equipment support
- Production ventilation improvement, design and
implementation
- Production work station/facility drops, design, planning, and
layouts
- Perform Industrial Engineering functions
- Provide production support with factory layouts
- Upgrading production equipment and work stations including all
facility drops
- Ergonomic improvements
- Perform production method improvements, as they relate to:
- Facilities
- Equipment
- Work stations
- Factory layouts
- Ensure all work product takes into account and upholds EHS
standards
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor and Chief Facilities Engineer
in the overseeing of the maintenance department
- Fill in as required to supervise the maintenance department
personnel
- Become an admin level user of the CMMS
- Plan and coordinate maintenance projects
- Direct maintenance personnel to complete projects Nesco
