Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication Department (also known as the
Bike Shop) is to provide rapid and innovative engineering solutions
to support needs from concept through test. The Bike Shop is
looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. The
ideal candidate will have a broad background in electrical
engineering, with a strong background as a circuit designer. Job
tasking will include taking a concept sketch and turning it into a
functioning prototype, with an ability to determine the right level
of rigor. Familiarity with all aspects of circuit design and
manufacture will be beneficial. This position within the
Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication Department is hardware
integration intensive that will require you to be onsite daily.
This position may require work in closed areas at various locations

Anticipate:
- Hands on involvement with hardware
- Rapid reaction prototyping
- Involvement with product lifecycle from concept development to
test
- Mentoring of junior engineers
- Management of projects of varying scope and
durationQualifications You Must Have:
- Requies a Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or
Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) or more years of related work
experience
- Experience using electronic design automation (EDA) software
such as Altium or equivalent
- Experience designing digital, analog, or mixed signal Circuit
Card Assemblies (CCA)
- Experience using PSpice or LTSpice and implementing high speed
digital designs
- Experience developing requirements for electronic interfaces
and sub-assembliesQualifications We Value:
- Programming/understanding of VHDL source code and FPGA code
simulation
- Experience taking a design from concept, through design,
fabrication, integration, and testing
- Experience with signal integrity of digital signals including
grounding and shielding techniques
- Working knowledge in the integration of computer hardware
interfaces
- Documentation utilizing Mentor Graphics and BluePrint
- Experience with MATLAB
- Cross-discipline engineering knowledge and experience
- Experience with intellectual property creation (patents &
publications)
- Experience with program transition from development to
production
- Working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Ability to develop and manage cost/schedule/technical plans
including management of risk and opportunities
- Ability to prioritize the work of others and handle multiple
tasks at a time
- Team and technical mentoring skills
