We are seeking a temporary part-time Principal Signal Processing Engineer to work onsite in our Tucson, AZ location. The select person will participate in challenging multi-disciplinary research across integrated product teams consisting of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC), Signal Processing and missile-and-sensor-level Performance Simulations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• 
  You will work with detailed high-fidelity simulations written in C/C++ and MATLAB to develop, prototype, and test radar and/or EO/IR signal processing algorithms and models.
  
  
• 
  Participate in the design, development, and integration of Radar and Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) algorithms, conducting system trades/sensitivity analyses, and performance assessments to support our products and new business initiatives.
  
  
• 
  You will conduct performance trade-off and sensitivity analysis for missile radar and/or EO/IR applications.
  
  
• 
  You will collaborate as a team member in all phases of missile development from program start up to live fire test, to provide engineering expertise by participating in project design.
  
  
• 
  Reviews and peer reviews, including technical briefings to internal and external customers.
  
  
• 
  You will oversee a technical team, mentor engineers, and/or manage an engineering project
  
  
  Qualifications You Must Have:
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Experience programming in C, or object-oriented programming experience in C++, Java, and/or Python
    
    
  • 
    Experience using MATLAB or Python for evaluation and analysis of data sets
    
    
  • 
    Experience with Radar and/or EO/IR signal processing algorithm development and analysis
    
    
  • 
    Experience running, modifying, and/or evaluating simulations
    
    
  • 
    Experience managing or leading others in a technical and/or functional capacity within an engineering environment
    
    
    Qualifications We Value:

      Coursework or experience in some of the following fields: radar signal processing, digital communications, probability and statistics, linear algebra, and signals & systems

      Current DoD security clearance or SSBI
      
      
      Education:
      Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM and 10 (ten) years of prior relevant experience
      Clearance Requirements:
      The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
      This is a temporary position of an undetermined length.
      The salary range for this role is 53.85/hr - 113.46/hr; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training and key skills.
