world. We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal
Electromagnetic and Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer. Qualified
candidates will be responsible for EMI/EMC electromagnetic
interference/electromagnetic compatibility for Raytheon products.
The candidate should possess experience in the E3/EMI field and
engineering experience with both military and commercial standards,
including but not limited to: MIL-STD-461E and above, MIL-STD-464A
and above, EN5550X, EN61000-XX, and FCC Part 15. Specific areas of
expertise will include experience in the design and verification
analysis of EMI/EMC, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Hazards of
Electromagnetic Radiation, Lightning, EMP and High Altitude EMP,
Shielding effectiveness and ESD. Also desirable would-be
familiarity with TEMPEST filter designs and isolation techniques.
This position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Provides technical conscience, challenged with making sure the
product and process meet appropriate E3 standards.
- Ensures balance with risk conditions and constraints while
advising leadership.
- Leads engagements with Program teams around E3 requirements,
timelines, and deliverables.
- Visible and accountable for technical decisions.
- Technical contact with the customer inclusive of requirements,
technical commitments, IRAD, future technical needs, etc.
- Will work across disciplines as our specialty requires
interaction with Mechanical and Systems Engineering as well as
Electrical Engineering.
- Owns the E3 Test Plan development and assist with product
testing. Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical
Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or
Mathematics (STEM) major with a minimum of 8 + years minimum
experience in the E3/EMI field and engineering experience with both
military and commercial standards.
- Experience in the design and verification analysis of EMI/EMC,
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Hazards of Electromagnetic
Radiation, Lightning, EMP and High Altitude EMP, Shielding
effectiveness and ESD.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued
security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as
only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range
provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience
