position will offer a qualified candidate the opportunity to work
in Raytheon's Materials and Process Engineering (M&PE)
Department, servicing all of Raytheon with innovative solutions to
nonstandard problems. The selected candidate will join the
Materials Management Team, working material obsolescence, supplier
corrective actions, and innovative material solutions to meet
program needs and receive compliant material.What You Will Do:
- Help manage all material related procurement and obsolescence
tasks. This includes identifying applications, documenting and
communicating issues, working with subject matter experts to come
up with a solution, and interacting with suppliers to implement
corrective actions.
- Interface with suppliers and chemical management companies
- Present issues to Leadership, Program Management, and Supply
Chain
- Work with the Materials Verification Lab, Materials Engineering
Program Leads, and subject matter experts to identify issues and
solutions.What You Will Learn:
- How to interpret material requirements found in purchase
orders, specifications, and drawings to understand material care
abouts and help identify application.
- Communication with both internal and external customers and
suppliers and find solutions to a vast array of procurement
issues.The Materials Management Engineer II job is in Tucson, AZ
and the position is onsite.Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science (e.g.,
chemistry, polymer science, instrumental analysis, materials
engineer, etc.) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant
experience. In absence of a degree, 6+ years of experience. An
advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for
additional years of experience
- Experience with material testing techniques (e.g., FTIR,
hardness, % elongation, etc.)Qualifications We Prefer:
- Professional level communication skills.
- Knowledge of a vast array of materials (e.g., epoxies,
polymers, elastomers, composites, etc.)
- Experience with Raytheon's chemical procurement systems (e.g.,

our products.#LI-SM4The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD -
130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate
representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several
