Job Description: The Factory Quality Manager (QM) will be a high-performing individual who will lend their expertise and work experiences to challenging and complex assignments. This leader will be accountable for analysis of product performance using statistical methods, integration of performance and conformance verifications, and prediction of quality in products, services, and associated processes. Key Responsibilities Will Include:* Ensuring compliance to the Quality Management System (QMS), leading continuous improvement initiatives, improving deliverable products, managing customer relationships, and partnering with various factory, program leaders and teams through all product lifecycle stages.* Developing Quality personnel including: on-boarding, training, technical, interpersonal and leadership development, and recognition* Lead and Empower Quality team to a high maturity state of continuous and measurable improvement to affect business success, and articulate what "good quality" looks like at all stages of the value stream and influence stakeholders to act accordingly* Demonstrate RMS leadership values and behaviors to obtain individual results and to achieve results through others* Communicate, coordinate and collaborate with QM and Operations peers to reduce redundancies, achieve synergies, eliminate non-essential work and ensure appropriate staffing to meet the critical needs of the business (not just your factories/programs)* Develop partnerships with senior Factory, Product Line and Program leaders to define and implement strategies that shape Raytheon's ability to be our customer's provider of choice* Teach and transfer knowledge of industry level practices to improve QE knowledge* Provide daily direction and feedback on performance and development to Quality personnel* Delegate appropriate assignments to Quality personnel and manage through follow up and performance feedback* Sustain continuous assessment of factory and program implementation of systems, policies, and procedures to ensure the highest standards of quality* Utilize factory and program quality metrics to lead and influence product quality improvement* Provide resources to team activities to eliminate out-of-phase defects, reduce/eliminate re-occurring non-conformances through effective root cause and corrective action investigations and utilize metrics to help prioritize and reduce Manufacturing Cost of Poor Quality* Monitor Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and drive defect management activities for systemic issues and to ensure robust RCCA* Champion variation management activities by driving the application of statistical process controls and error proofing to ensure products meet end item performance requirements and mission assurance objectives* Identify and integrate advancements that enable strategic business growth, enhance customer relationships and improve profitability* Embed Mission Assurance work products across the product lifecycle to preempt risk and drive attention-to-detail culture This position is for a Factory Quality Manager in Tucson, AZ (May be located at Airport or Rita Road Factories). Required Skills and Experience:* Minimum of (10) ten years of a combination Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing experience* Experience in managing high-performing, multi-disciplined/multi-functional teams in highly-matrix environment* Demonstrated success in implementing change management strategies to drive performance improvement across a manufacturing organization, with an emphasis also on development and improvement across the quality team* Proven ability to manage timelines, complex customer relationships , and to effectively problem-solve* Conduct and support internal audits for compliance to the AS91xx series of standards, internal Organizational Directives, and other documentation comprising the quality management system* Identify problems and solutions and implement actions to resolve* Collaborate and communicate effectively with QEC, QM's, and key stakeholders across the corporation, business functions and product lines* Create/execute strategic plans and innovative ideas to meet business objectives* Ability to obtain a DOD Clearance Desired Skills and Experience:* Knowledge of Tier 2 environment in cleanroom operations* Build and maintain effective business relationships with DCMA and DoD customers* Working knowledge of MDA MAP requirements* ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or other ASQ certification* Level 5 Mission Assurance Certification (Internal candidates)* Experience in various phases of IPDS system, such as proposals, development, and integration and test* Experience in other functional area such as Engineering, Supplier Engineering, or Operations* International experience Required Education: B.S. - Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Computer Science or Quality Assurance Desired Education: Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD) Check us out on YouTube Raytheon Company Overview Ballistic Missile Defense System Flight Test FTG 06b This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
