At every level of the company, we share a common goal: To instill confidence in our clients through our steadfast commitment to safety, integrity and quality of work.Opportunity Summary:The Vice President, Field Services is responsible for leading and managing a diverse team of solar technicians dispersed across the contiguous US and Hawaii. This includes fostering an environment that maintains Bay4's position as a preferred place of employment, as well as developing and implementing world-class operations processes, systems, policies, and procedures to ensure that Bay4 achieves profitability objectives while delivering the highest standards of service, operational excellence, and professionalism. To succeed in this role, the candidate will need to work with a team of leaders and stakeholders to advance their winning strategy. Successful candidates will also need to be able to balance executive-level vision with detail-oriented execution and be able to convincingly communicate that vision all levels of the organization.Here's a look at some of the work you'll be performing:

  • Responsible for the management of Bay4's Safety Program, including program development, training, incident investigations, OSHA reporting, Avetta/IHS reporting, and properly equipping field personnel with the PPE and equipment necessary to comply with the program requirements
  • Responsible for all Field Services Department personnel, including employee hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions
  • Responsible for managing all Field Services operations, including but not limited to preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, performance optimization, inventory management, and meeting Bay4's contractual obligations related to Field Services
  • Responsible for improving, developing, and implementing Bay4's strategies for:
    • Safety and technical training programs, ensuring field employees are fully trained and qualified to perform their assigned duties, including the maintenance of up-to-date manufacturer and safety certifications of Field Service Technicians
    • National vehicle fleet management
    • Bay4's Field Services tools and equipment inventory, including testing and calibration compliance
    • On-site safety, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting
    • Scheduling and planning of preventative and corrective maintenance
    • Develop departmental key performance indicators (KPI's) and provide monthly reporting on those KPIs and department strategic improvement projects
    • Create the annual Field Services Department budget for review and approval by senior management, and then manage to that budget
    • Manage policy deployment in the areas of safety, standards, training, quality, cost reduction, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and plant performance measures
    • Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, mentoring and development
    • Ensure compliance with Company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety, and complete and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost
    • Ensure that all Field Services tasks are completed within budget/deadline to meet customers' needs
    • Determine Field Services headcount needs sufficient to meet obligations and ensure compliance with Company policies
    • Manage compliance with state and federal regulations

      • Minimum of 10 years of experience in O&M service management, project controls, scheduling, service, contracts administration
      • Experience developing, implementing and managing a skills-based technical service & safety program with a distributed workforce
      • Proven leadership and ability to orchestrate resources and motivate teams
      • Demonstrated track record of effective safety program management
      • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
      • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential
      • Detail oriented, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented
      • Demonstrated sense of urgency in problem solving and commitment to deliver revenue/profitability to plan
      • Possess key skills to include energy concepts, financial analysis, basic knowledge of construction, electrical concepts, contract management, strong organization, and prioritization
      • Advanced customer experience skills. Ability to make the customer comfortable and included in the process of maintaining and servicing their solar power and battery energy storage facilities
      • Proficiency in MS office productsWorking Conditions:Climate controlled office environment during normal business hours. May be subjected to inclement seasonal weather conditions if position calls for traveling to/from various locations.Hours:Adhere to scheduled work times.
