Position Highlights
The University of Arizona seeks an innovator to serve as the leader
of a high-profile Center that includes scientific leaders in
clinical informatics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, sensor data
and imaging. The successful candidate will be responsible for the
oversight and direction of the Center while developing long-term
infrastructure to support current and novel research opportunities.
They will provide leadership in building national, regional and
local visibility and enhancing the Center's reputation. The
Director of CB2 will be a well-regarded visionary, who also brings
a decisive and collaborative style that matches the speed of change
and the culture of the organization. They will have longstanding
and firsthand working knowledge of large-scale research programs.
The Director will be an outstanding communicator, both written and
oral, with the demonstrated skills to build collaborations, create
consensus and implement broad programs across a multi-stakeholder
environment.
This position reports to the Senior Vice President (SVP) for Health
Sciences and is a key member of the Health Sciences senior
leadership team, which includes Health Sciences Vice Presidents,
College Deans and other Center Directors. The Director serves on
relevant committees, searches, and participates in other
initiatives relevant to the Center.
The Director will have the exciting opportunity to expand the
Center with the full support of UArizona Health Sciences. CB2 is a
key component of the UArizona Health Sciences strategic plan and
new economic initiatives. With a financial commitment already in
place, the organization is poised for significant success and
growth.
The goal of the University of Arizona Center for Biomedical
Informatics and Biostatistics (CB2) is to advance the UArizona
Health Sciences' clinical research enterprise and mission with
informatics, tools, clinical data sources, and shared human and
technical resources.

Duties & Responsibilities
The Director sets the vision, priorities and strategies for the
Center within the UArizona Health Sciences, and will work to foster
alignment and joint strategic decision making while optimizing
collaboration by:
