Job Title: Quality ManagerLocation: Tucson, ArizonaSalary Range $60,000 - $70,000 per yearBenefits: Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision), PTO programThe Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system (QMS) of the laboratory in accordance with ISO 17025 requirements as well as Arizona Department of Health Services requirements. The Quality Manager ensures that the laboratory consistently delivers accurate, reliable, and traceable test results in a timely manner, while also continuously improving the quality of the laboratory's operations.Key Responsibilities:

• Improve and maintain the QMS in accordance with ISO 17025 requirements.
• Ensure that the laboratory's QMS complies with customer, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
• Manage the laboratory's internal audit program, including planning, conducting, and reporting audits.
• Respond to customer and accreditation body inquiries regarding the laboratory's QMS.
• Ensure that the laboratory's personnel receive the necessary training and development to perform their job duties in accordance with the QMS.
• Monitor the performance of the laboratory's quality system and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with laboratory personnel to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
• Ensure that the laboratory's test methods are validated and are in compliance with accreditation requirements.
• Maintain the laboratory's quality records and documents in accordance with accreditation requirements.
• Participate in customer and accreditation body assessments and assessments of the laboratory's quality system.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field, such as chemistry, biology, or engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality management systems and ISO 17025 requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the quality system of an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
