Job Description:
The GEICO IT Construction and Remote Office Support team is
seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented and knowledgeable
Senior Engineer to join our team! The IT Construction/Remote Office
Support team supports GFR's, Staff Counsel, Regional Offices,
Claims ARX 2.0 locations including Collaborative spaces. Our team
is responsible for setting up and maintaining network connectivity
and end user equipment to include VoIP configuration and end user
support. As a Sr. Engineer, you will coordinate major IT
Construction projects, small office projects and streamline or
assist in automating processes for GFR's and Staff Counsel. The
candidate will proactively support the customer, ensuring the
highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability,
stability, and performance are met. The position offers the
opportunity to work in a dynamic fast paced environment and provide
support in the areas of end-user support, networking and VoIP
development, project management, production support and
administration. The position will work with all areas of the
business, REFM, vendors, end users, and other IT groups.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
* Project Management and Technical overview for Regional Office or
Small Office Projects * Collaboration Rooms - Project manage,
implementation, support. Strategic roadmap. * Troubleshoot complex
computer problems * Troubleshoot complex network problems *
Troubleshoot complex VoIP problems * Make complex adds and changes
in Cisco CM/Unity or AWS Connect * Make CISCO router/Switch IOS
configuration changes * Build CISCO router/Switch IOS
configurations * Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and
availability of GEICOs information and information systems *
Provide support to mature network and VoIP technologies * Provide
support in ensuring infrastructure is kept up to date with the
latest versions, patches * Provide 24 x 7 on-call support for
GEICOs infrastructure systems and support for off hours
implementations Candidates should have a combination of the
following desired qualifications and skills * Ability to work
independently and as part of a larger group comprised of different
technical and business areas * Possess a strong sense of ownership,
responsibility, motivation, and continuous improvement * Passionate
about technology, systems engineering, and delivering high quality
solutions while having fun! * Proficiency with Windows operating
systems * Understanding of networking and network components
including subnets, DMZs, routers, switches, and firewalls *
Understanding of CISCO Call Manger and Unity or AWS Connect *
Awareness of the general IT security threat landscape including
common vulnerabilities, exploits, social engineering, and malware *
Experience in end-to-end problem determination/troubleshooting
system issues, including root cause analysis * Familiarity with VB
script, PowerShell, or other scripting languages * Excellent
communications (written and oral), including communicating
technical issues to non-technical audiences * Excellent customer
service and problem-solving skills Desired Candidate
Qualifications: * Knowledge of common application architectures and
communications protocols * Experience with platform performance,
capacity, configuration, and fault management Candidate Experience
and Education: * Experience: 4+ years working in an IT support role
or in developing, implementing or architecting information systems
or infrastructure * Certification: CCNA - Cisco Certified Network
Associate is a plus, other Security or Networking certifications
(desired) ; Project Management certifications SAFE, CSM Certified
Scrum Master (desired) * Education: BA/BS degree in Information
Systems, Computer Science (or similar) or currently pursuing

$72,000.00 - $185,000.00 The above annual salary range is a general
guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive
at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the
selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the
scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's
work experience, education and training, the work location as well
as market and business considerations.
