development and production of mechanical hardware at Raytheon. We
-use state-of the-art tools, processes, technology, and CORE
principles. Mechanical Engineering's capabilities encompass a broad
range of technical disciplines which include engineering,
manufacturing, technical services, materials, processes, analysis,
test and documentation.The Precision Control Actuation Systems
(PCAS) department is part of Mechanical Engineering, and we are an
engineering organization of approximately 185 people who are
located in Tucson, AZ and Huntsville, AL. We develop new Control
Actuation Systems (CAS) including Aerodynamic Tail Fin and Canard
Steering Control Sections, Thrust Vector, Attitude and Divert
Control Systems, Control Surface and Wing Deployment mechanisms,
Stage Separation and Nosecone Ejection Systems, and more.The PCAS
department is seeking a motivated Engineering Execution Leader with
experience in CAS hardware development for our Tucson AZ facility.
-What You Will Do:
- This leader will provide technical and programmatic oversight
of an assigned CAS development program.
- You will drive development execution excellence on a CAS
program and is responsible for the typical Integrated Product Team
functions including planning, execution, CAM, EVMS, reporting,
resource management, technical team management and closely works
with the program chief engineer and program manager, supply chain,
suppliers, operations, quality and working across the engineering
functional discipline spectrum.
- Coordinate program staffing needs and reductions, coaching and
mentoring team members, managing program budgets and schedule, and
executing world class risk management.
- You will be called upon to provide proposal support including
cost ROMs, formal Basis of Estimates, project plans and technology
maturity plans.
- Engage senior management and senior technical leaders on a
variety of topics and must possess superior organizational,
presentation and tactical execution skills as well as being able to
communicate effectively and confidently demonstrating sound
emotional intelligence.Qualifications You Must Have:
- B.S in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics,
Math, or related science and minimum 10 years prior relevant
experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7
years of experience
- Prior leadership roles such as IPT Lead, Project Manager, or
Program Manager.
- Ten -(10) or more years of overall engineering experience in
systems, electrical or mechanical design, preferably in the
development of Control Actuation Systems in all development
phases.Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience in being an advocate for process improvement (e.g.
CMMI, Six Sigma, CORE), a team builder, and able to build strong
relationships and effectively partner with internal resources.
- Ability to build a collaborative network quickly that focuses
on empowering employees, leading and motivating teams, and
fostering collaboration
- Proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
- Experience with technical and cost proposal development,
technical risk management, and managing to cost and schedule
requirements for assigned tasks
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Ability to multi-task and successfully manage multiple
activities at any given time
- Strong presentation and technical writing skills combined with

range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range
provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience
