Our Vision is to be a national model of excellent healthcare. http://www.elrio.org/jobs/ Title: Chief Information Officer (CIO) Category: Executive About the Job: Directs and coordinates development/production activities of data processing service for internal and external customers by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors: Consults with management to determine information requirements of management to determine boundaries and priorities of new projects and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions; Confers with internal and eternal MIS customers involved with proposed MIS projects to ensure cooperation and further define system(s) need; Conducts MIS project feasibility studies and establishes work plans and timetables; Coordinates and/or consults with internal and external MIS customers to develop and to introduce new program testing; Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction and maintenance to ascertain costs and plan operating changes for internal and external MIS customers; Analyzes department workflow and workers' job duties to recommend reorganization or departmental realignment within company; Evaluates proposals for necessary systems analysis, programming and computer services from outside contractors or vendors; Assists staff to diagnose and solve computer equipment problems throughout system; Participates in technical projects such as writing equipment specifications or developing computer programs for specified applications; Supervises development and implementation of user training programs for basic practice management system.-- Minimum Education and Experience: A Master's Degree in a related field from an approved and accredited college or university.-- A minimum of ten (10) years' progressive experience in information technology, with at least seven (7) of those years' in a healthcare environment. A minimum of ten (10) years' experience with the evaluation, implementation, operation, and training associated with electronic health record systems. A minimum ten (10) years' Senior Level Management experience; preferably in a healthcare environment. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
