Medical Biller

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Greets, screens, schedules and directs patients and visitors in a timely manner

Obtains, verifies, and updates patient information and provides support services for clinical and clerical staff

Performs clerical duties related to clinical services including scanning, faxing and data entry

Answers telephones, screens calls, takes messages and provides information

Collects co-pays and outstanding balances Processes outgoing mail and retrieves daily mail from postal box and distributes accordingly

Schedules and reschedules clinic appointments and hospital surgeries as directed.

Requests, sends and receives patient medical records. Maintains all patient confidentiality and follows HIPAA rules and regulations.

Schedules ancillary testing (CT/MRI/US) as directed.
