CLINICAL FACULTY: GYNECOLOGIC ONCOLOGIST Practice Academic Medicine with Top-Rated Teaching Hospital in the Sun and Recreation Corridor of Arizona at the University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) and Banner University Medical Center - Tucson (BUMC-T) The Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Arizona / Banner-University Medical Center-Tucson (BUMC-T) is actively recruiting for a Gynecologic Oncologist to join our team.--Banner Health has invested in growing the clinical enterprise, with a new hospital and expansion of the Cancer Center outpatient facility.--UACC is an NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center with infrastructure in place to support research. Our team of 3 faculty members includes a clinically active associate professor with focus on quality care initiatives, an assistant professor, and a renowned senior physician-scientist--who has also developed and--leads--a--clinic for women at high-risk for ovarian/breast cancer. Our senior physician-scientist is also--involved in--the gynecologic oncology clinical trials effort. We are part of a multidisciplinary effort including radiation oncology, and gynecologic pathology with prospective tumor boards. We have supportive care and integrative medicine teams who support our team and our patients. We are seeking an individual who will help in particular with growing these three areas of expertise (minimally invasive and vaginal surgery, clinical trials and high-risk). The successful candidate will receive a faculty appointment to the University of Arizona commensurate with their credentials. Requirements and Functions:

• Completed ABOG-approved Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency.
• Completed ABOG-approved Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship.
• Board certified or eligible.
• Robotic training during fellowship preferred.
• Clinical research experience, as well as manuscript publication, preferred Work Schedule:
  • .80--FTE clinical (including 2 days clinic/1 day OR)
  • Shared weekend call
  • .20 FTE Research and Teaching: 1 day/week This represents a unique opportunity for a junior or mid-level faculty member in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, given the expertise of the faculty. The High-Risk program is an opportunity for a faculty member who is interested in genetics, risk evaluation and research. There is also an opportunity to significantly contribute--to the success of our clinical trials effort.
