The Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of
Arizona/ Banner-University Medical Center Tucson is actively
recruiting for a Gynecologic Oncologist to join our team. Banner
Health has invested in growing the clinical enterprise, with a new
hospital and expansion of the Cancer Center outpatient facility.
The University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) is an NCI
Comprehensive Cancer Center with infrastructure in place to support
research. Our team of 3 faculty members includes a clinically
active associate professor with focus on quality care initiatives,
an assistant professor who will join us soon, and a renowned senior
physician-scientist who is the leader of the Gynecologic Oncology
Clinical Trials team, and who has also developed and leads the
high-risk genetics clinic at UACC.
We are part of a multidisciplinary effort including radiation
oncology, and gynecologic pathology with prospective tumor boards.
We have supportive care and integrative medicine teams who support
our team and our patients. We are seeking an individual who will
help in particular with growing these areas of expertise (clinical
trials and high-risk). The successful candidate will receive a
faculty appointment to the University of Arizona consistent with

Completed ABOG-approved Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency.
Completed ABOG-approved Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship.
Board certified or eligible.

The University of Arizona Cancer Center is a National Cancer
Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center dedicated to
the prevention and cure of cancer through patient care, research
and education. Our cancer center serves as the research backbone
for the Division of Gynecologic Oncology within the Department of
Obstetrics and Gynecology. Our therapeutic clinical trials, as well
as many of our correlative studies are supported by the UACC
Clinical Trials unit. UACC shared services support other basic and
translational research activities.
This is a unique opportunity for a junior or mid-level faculty
member in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. We are seeking an
individual who wishes to be integrally involved in clinical
research, contributing to the success of the clinical trials
The High-Risk program is an opportunity for a faculty member who is
interested in genetics, risk evaluation and research. There is
opportunity to grow the surgical areas of minimally invasive
surgery and vaginal surgery.
