We are looking for a Central Supply Coordinator to join our stellar
team!
SUMMARY: - - To ensure that nursing and medical supplies are
available, accessible, organized, and secure, that par levels of
supplies are maintained, and that facility medical equipment is
clean, inventoried, and available and that it is returned timely as
indicated. -
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -
- - - - - - - - - Perform all duties assigned in an effective and
timely manner.
- - - - - - - - - Be responsible for collecting data on the amount
of supplies needed from each resident care area.
- - - - - - - - - Identify type and amount of each item to be
stocked.
- - - - - - - - - Communicate with supply vendors and the corporate
office the supply needs of the facility
- - - - - - - - - Order all nursing and medical supplies in a
timely manner and maintain appropriate par levels
- - - - - - - - - Inventory supplies and maintain inventory
information
- - - - - - - - - Maintain supplies in a neat, clean and organized
manner.
- - - - - - - - - Follow instructions for proper storage of
supplies; store and rotate supplies by expiration date. -
- - - - - - - - - Distribute supplies to the nursing units.
- - - - - - - - - Assume responsibility for securing supplies as
appropriate
- - - - - - - - - Keep accurate, organized records of the type and
amount of supplies received.
- - - - - - - - - Report all problems with obtaining supplies
promptly to administration.
- - - - - - - - - Clean, distribute, and perform equipment check on
all feeding pumps, and document on the appropriate forms
- - - - - - - - - Clean and distribute all infusion pumps; return
upon discontinuation if pump is vendor owned. -
- - - - - - - - - Ensure that equipment (feeding pumps, intravenous
pumps, beds, etc.) maintenance is performed and recorded as
instructed by supervisor
- - - - - - - - - Ensure that prior to discharge of a resident from
the facility, that facility and vendor property is secured and
inventoried or returned to vendor as indicated
- - - - - - - - - Attend in-service education and all mandatory
education as appropriate
- - - - - - - - - Report any problems with ordering of supplies
promptly to administration.
- - - - - - - - - Understand and maintain records related to the
facility resident charge system in an accurate, neat and organized
manner.
- - - - - - - - - Provide the business office with accurate charges
for supplies used by individual residents.
- - - - - - - - - Work cooperatively with nursing staff.
- - - - - - - - - Work cooperatively with facility suppliers.
- - - - - - - - - Observe all facility safety policies and
procedures
- - - - - - - - - Be responsible for safety; identify safety
hazards and initiate corrective action
- - - - - - - - - Perform other related duties as directed by
supervisor.
- - - - - - - - - Observe facility infection control
procedures.
- - - - - - - - - Observe facility Residents' Rights policies and
procedures; report any allegation of abuse immediately.
- - - - - - - - - Observe infection prevention procedures related
to Central Supply.
- - - - - - - - - Participate in Quality Assurance/Performance
Improvement duties as assigned.
- - - - - - - - - Consistently work cooperatively with residents,
residents' representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants
and ancillary service providers.
- - - - - - - - - Other projects/duties as assigned by
supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS: - To perform this job successfully, an individual
must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The
requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill,
and/or ability required.
- - - - - - - - - Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
- - - - - - - - - Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition &
enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents and\or staff
requests.
- - - - - - - - - Must be able to read, write, speak, and
understand the English language.
- - - - - - - - - Must be able to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance
Card from AZDPS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands are representative of those

minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to
push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50
feet.
- - - - - - - - - May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of
residents during emergency situations.
- - - - - - - - - The noise level in the work environment is
usually moderate.
