Our dental practice is growing, and we are looking for an experienced and certified dental assistant to provide support to our dentist and hygienists, and high-quality dental care to our patients.

Our dental office is open Tuesday-Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
Our ideal candidate for this position has 2 or more years of dental practicing experience and will have Coronal Polish certification, although we are willing to provide training for the right candidate. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized and has excellent communication skills. Responsibilities

• Take and document vital signs and medical history for patient records
• Meet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during appointment
• Support dentists and dental hygienists by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team during procedures or examinations
• Schedule appointments for patient care follow up, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients' teeth and gums, after procedures
• Prepare and lay out sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials inside treatment rooms for examinations and dental procedures
• Adhere to all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use Qualifications
  • Certification or Associate's Degree from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are essential
  • Experience with dental software, updating patient histories, and computer skills are needed
  • Current BLS/CPR certification is required
  • Previous dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant (2 years) is necessary
    Compensation
    $18 - $23 hourly
