This is a Full time day shift position working at the
Broadway/Pantano Urgent Care
Position Purpose
Performs patient care activities under the supervision of a
provider. Assists providers with medical procedures and office
administrative processes as required.
Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education: "Required: High School diploma/GED, and graduation from
an accredited Medical Assistant Program
(Note: If hired prior to 4/1/2021, equivalent experience is allowed
in lieu of HS diploma/GED).
OR Current Certified Medical Assistant as noted in
License/Certification section of these Position Requirements."
Experience: Preferred: Six (6) months experience in a medical
practice setting or completion of externship program at NH.
Skills: Appropriate prioritization while achieving safety and
quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective
communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and
procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist
with whatever is needed.
Licenses/Certifications: "Required:
American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) BLS
certification.
Within 90 days of hire date, must have one of these certifications:
Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) issued by AAMA, CCMA
(Certified Clinical Medical Assistant) issued by NHA, NCMA
(National Certified Medical Assistant) issued by NCCT or, the RMA
(Registered Medical Assistant) issued by AMT."
