Job Title: Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Evenings Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: Not required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Must have robotics experience and strong ortho experience. Description: Clinical profile review followed by a phone interview. No first-time travelers considered. Must have a minimum of 2 full years of experience to be considered. Robotics experience is required. Strong experience in orthopedics is essential. Number of OR suites: 9. Average number of cases per day: Approximately 35. Add-on rate for cases is 10%. Common cases include General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, Robotics, ENT, and Sports Medicine. Charge Nurse or House Supervisor is present on each shift. Electronic Medical Record system used: Cerner. Shifts available: 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts. Start times include 6 AM, 10:30 AM, and 2:30 PM. There is a high need for night shifts. Call requirements are on a rotation basis, approximately once every other week. Weekend call shifts are required. Holiday call requirements include 1-12 hour call shift. Call response time is 30 minutes. Floating to other units is not required. Scrubs are provided. Unit-specific orientation lasts approximately 2 weeks. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the 13-week assignment. Charting system is Cerner. BSN is not required. Trauma level is classified. Care setting is acute. Division is Allied. Shift notes indicate evening shifts with weekend rotation and call requirements. Required certifications include BLS.
