ID: 72960314 Shift: 12H Nights 4 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule; first to float, could float to sister facility Description: Unit Notes:THIS IS A TELE POSITION, REQUIRING TELE SKILLS - PLEASE READ BELOW Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start, through UNA, only (with 2 max attempts). If they fail, they will be made a DNU for 6 months for CSH AZ and CSH Sac regions.There is also a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation. If they fail, they will be sent home and made a DNU for 6 months. of bedsCRMC 60 ED Beds, MGMC 31 ED BedsRatios1 to 4Required certificationsBLS, ACLSCommon diagnoses/Types of patientsED holds waiting for placement on a unit, primarily MS/TeleExperience or 'Must have' skillsMust have a strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years. Must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physicians orders and parameters. (Please confirm this experience on notes- updated cardiac gtts per Tracey 1.29.20 KR) Nurses will be caring for more tele patients VS medical. (MS/Tele travlers DO NOT need prior travel experience, per Tracey Greene 6.9.2022- LMussmann)Are RNs required to titrate drips?YesCommon titratable &/or set rate dripsCardizem, Heparin, AmiodaroneCharge Nurse/House SupervisorED charge nurse. Are there nurse aids on this unit/RatiosED PCTs availableRT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc)No VentsIs there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?Nurses must be able to read & interpret strips. No monitor tech in the ED. Shifts & Scheduling12 hr shifts (7a - 7p or 7p - 7a) Ability to self-schedule; however this could change from time to time.
