ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Tucson, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - NICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • 13-week assignment duration • Patient ratio: 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity level • 15-bed NICU unit • Arizona nursing license required • 3 years of NICU experience required with Level 3 experience • Required certifications: NRP and Infant Driven Feeding Certificate • Preferred certification: STABLE • Any color scrubs acceptable • EMR system: Cerner • Attend high-risk and newborn deliveries • Handle NICU admissions and provide specialized neonatal care • Start IVs and draw laboratory specimens • Ventilator experience required • May float to postpartum unit during low census to take newborn assignments or couplets if experienced • Utilize nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in care delivery • Delegate patient care priorities and provide supervision of assigned personnel • Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education Facility: This healthcare facility features a comprehensive 15-bed Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit providing specialized care for critically ill newborns and high-risk deliveries.
