Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare
services, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for our
pool staff. This role involves working across our network of
inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health agencies,
providing critical rehabilitation services tailored to the
individual needs of our patients. Our therapists are integral to
our commitment to compassionate, proficient, and holistic patient
care, emphasizing personalized therapy strategies. As a Pool
Occupational Therapist, you will have the flexibility to work
across different settings, tackling diverse patient needs and
enhancing their everyday lives. Assess patient health conditions
through physical examination and patient history. Plan and
administer interventions to improve or restore human performance,
maximizing patient independence in daily activities. Evaluate
results of occupational therapy by observing, noting, and
evaluating patient's progress; recommending adjustments and
modifications. Complete administrative duties in compliance with
hospital policies and state/federal regulations. Maintain safe and
clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and
regulations. Provide guidance and education to patients and their
families about treatment plans and home-based practices. Expertise
in creating and executing patient-centric treatment plans. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in documenting
patient progress and therapeutic interventions. Ability to work
collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team. Knowledge of relevant
health and safety regulations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance 401k Valid and current Occupational Therapist
license. NBCOT certification preferred.
