Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ED Job Details: • Work in Level I Trauma Center emergency department • Minimum 2 years recent ED RN experience required • Experience in 500 bed hospital preferred • Must have prior travel experience • Required certifications: PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and BLS • May take overflow inpatient holds in the ED on rotating basis with other travelers and core staff • Varied work schedule • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care according to organizational policies • Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs • Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team • Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities • Evaluate patient and family response to care and revise plans as needed • Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records • Provide care based on physician orders and nursing plans while ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements • Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching frequently and ability to lift up to 75 pounds • Must maintain clinical performance competencies and annual validations Facility: This healthcare organization operates a major academic medical center providing comprehensive emergency services as a Level I Trauma Center.
