The position
Hottinger, Bruel & Kjaer (HBK) Inc. is a global leader providing technical expertise, engineering software products, and services to deliver reliability, durability and performance enhancing solutions. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer for our Development Team in Tucson, Arizona (or working remotely for full working day overlap).
Primary responsibilities
This position is responsible for applying advanced technical expertise in software development for ReliaSoft applications. This will include resolving complex technical problems and providing clients with highly innovative solutions. You will be expected to show initiative in completing individual tasks, but also help the team achieve overall objectives.
Your daily work includes, but is not limited to:

• Applying expertise in software development for ReliaSoft applications
• Providing software solutions to complex technical problems
• Working together with the team to continuously optimize department processes and procedures
  • Reviewing software code and its technical competency and adequacy
  • Producing documentation related to the design, functionality and release of software artifacts
  • Utilizing Agile software development methodologies and continuous integration
    Professional qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience required
    • Familiarity with one or more modern object-oriented programming languages (Java, C#, etc.) required. ASP.NET experience is a plus
    • Familiarity with JavaScript and CSS required
    • Microsoft .NET experience preferred
    • HTML 5, responsive web design, front end framework experience (vue.js, angular, etc.) is a plus
    • Database experience with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle
    • Experience in Agile/Scrum development is beneficial, but not required
    • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and initiative
    • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
