Job Description:We are looking for a dynamic, patient-centered Scheduler to join our exceptional team.If you like being able to organize and maintain an active surgery schedule as well as speak with patients on the phone and in person, we want you to join our team.In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in a patient's journey by performing some of the below day-to-day duties:Answer all incoming calls; assess the callers needs and direct them to the appropriate person.Schedule new patients, patient referrals and returning patients in our computer systemCancel/reschedule appointments according to physician schedule changes; notify appropriate clinic personnelObtain and enter all insurance authorization, and correspondence relating to referrals in patients' charts and/or electronic medical records (EMR).Arrange for patients to have financial counseling as needed.Skills:Scheduling appointments, Medical, medical schedulingTop Skills Details:2 years minimum of medical office experience.Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).Experience with scheduling in a medical clinic or provider settingPerformance Expectations:Answer all incoming calls; assess the callers needs and direct them to the appropriate person.Schedule new patients, patient referrals and returning patients in our computer systemCancel/reschedule appointments according to physician schedule changes; notify appropriate clinic personnelObtain and enter all insurance authorization, and correspondence relating to referrals in patients' charts and/or electronic medical records (EMR).Arrange for patients to have financial counseling as needed.Work Environment:Cancer Clinic setting on Northwest side of Tucson -Orange Grove LocationMonday-Friday8am-5pmPay is $16-$18 an depending on experienceLooking to have someone start on March 1st, interviews are ASAP!
