* DutiesHelpDutiesSummarySee below for important information regarding this job.Additional vacancies may be filled from this announcement.Learn more about this agencyResponsibilities* Serves as the senior principal advisor for all Engineering functional disciplines to the Regional Commander.* Assists Headquarters (HQ) with updates to policy, training and tools as required.* Supervises for Major Defense Acquisition Program Support, Software, Engineering and Manufacturing functional experts.* Provide guidance and assistance to operational teams for the performance of contract administration functions listed in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).* Conducts continuing assessment of the business and technical aspects for the performance of contract administration functions listed in the FAR and the DFAR).* Reviews Level III and Level IV Corrective Action Requests from field offices to ensure correctness and consistent interpretation of contractual requirements.Travel RequiredNot requiredSupervisory statusYesPromotion Potential4* Job family (Series)1150 Industrial Specialist* RequirementsHelpRequirementsConditions of Employment* Must be a U.S. citizen* Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access* Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.* Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.QualificationsTo qualify for a Supervisory Industrial Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the NH-04 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-03 or GS-13 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes:* Directing a group of professionals and technical employees responsible for the oversight and implementation with engineering/industrial operational functions of manufacturing and production.* Monitoring of contractor delivery performance, and production management systems.* Formulating, developing and interpreting policies and procedures.* Planning, directing, managing and integrating the workload of a diverse group of employees and acquisition experience on weapon system programs.EducationSubstitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
