TrueNet is a leading company in the Telecom Industry and always looking for the perfect addition. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hand Digging and pot holing
  • Restoration
  • Spot for Utilities
  • Loading Materials
  • Verify locates are correct
  • Ensure vehicle is clean and assist with identifying hazards
  • Assist with JSA's and constantly being on the lookout for changing conditions
  • Maintains accuracy in all reporting functions
  • Help train Laborer 1 team members
  • Attain and maintain a Valid Class A CDL License
  • Learn the basic operation of Equipment
  • Be able to move equipment and backfill
  • Be proactive about learning to read prints and drawings
  • Be proficient at equipment preventative maintenance (Greasing, Fueling, Changing basic parts)
  • Requires very little direction from the Foreman
  • Perform other related duties as assignedWORK ENVIRONMENT:
    • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including climbing, sitting, standing, walking and driving
    • Regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy spring, summer and fall weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
    • Assume responsibility for work outcomes and results of other workers.
    • May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated
    • When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats and life jacketsEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
      • Class A CDL is required for this position
      • Approximately 1 year of experience in a laboring position in the utilities field.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.         • Frequent walking, standing, sitting within the work area.
        • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
        • Must be able to work alone, and with a team
        • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, peers, et al.
        • Must be able to work in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, and dry).Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those of a standard office environment.           • Must be able to travel up to 50% (most travel is planned well in advance).
          • Must be able to work in loud, noise-filled environment out in the field.
          • The position requires working independently, as well as part of a team.
