Job Summary: Exciting opportunities exists in the Test Systems Product team for highly motivated engineers to support test equipment development for Raytheon Missiles and Defense Products. Our Mission is to develop production test solutions that enable our factories to produce high performance, quality products and drive long term affordability into Raytheon's test processes. We are looking for innovative and collaborative candidates to join our teams to provide test systems that directly contribute to protecting our nation and our warfighters. You'll join a hands-on development team of multi-disciplined engineers that fosters engineering excellence and creativity, and takes pride in seeing the end product in the hands of the customer. We work with a wide variety of assembly levels ranging from CCA to sub-assemblies to full systems. Areas of Expertise:

  • Test System level design
  • CCA Design
  • RF Design
  • High speed digital
  • National Instrument Hardware and Software Test Platforms (PXI, LabVIEW/TestStand/LabWindows/CVI programming)
  • High Voltage Design
  • Legacy Test Station Troubleshooting
  • FPGA Firmware Design
  • Text based (e.g. C, C++, C#) Coding

    • Develop test hardware, software, and/or firmware through its development cycle, from requirements definition through deployment at manufacturing or customer facilities. These test capabilities may span disciplines (Power, RF, Analog, Digital) and domains (hardware, software, firmware).
    • Work with Hardware Design and Operations teams to ensure the test equipment required for production meets standards for manufacturing.
    • Actively identify test readiness issues and optimizations through development lifecycle.
    • Guide mechanical engineering and/or suppliers through test adapter design activities, with support from management.
    • Prepare and clearly present your work product to at status meetings.
    • Support Manufacturing operations, including on-site troubleshooting and debugging, both independently and in collaboration with design engineering teams. Qualifications You Must Have:
      • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
        • 2+ years of experience in engineering design and development, including troubleshooting. -
        • Experience with test equipment design and development tasks.
        • Experience with laboratory test instrumentation, electronics and/or software.
        • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Value:
          • Experience working in a team environment
            • Experience with National Instruments' TestStand, LabWindows/CVI, and/or LabVIEW
            • Experience with Digital, Analog, RF, and/or Power Supply test hardware and/or software design
            • Experience with VXI / VME / MXI / PXI / CompactPCI application development
            • Experience with commercial test and measurement equipment, such as Oscilloscopes, DMMs Network Analyzers, Power Meters, etc.
            • Previous work experience -with commonly used electrical engineering design and analysis tools such as: Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic, or equivalent
            • Experience using schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics
            • VHDL and embedded system design knowledge
            • Software applications / programming skills (C++, C, C#), including experience utilizing integrated development environments and debugging tools to troubleshoot software implementation and ensure integrity of the software products
            • Experience using model-based design and the Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize software architecture and design.
              Experience with IBM Rhapsody or Cameo Enterprise Architecture.
