Position Pending Contract AwardTRAX International (TRAX) is
preparing a proposal for future performance of the Electronic
Proving Ground (EPG) Test Support Services contract in Fort
Huachuca, AZ. TRAX is a large business that has supported the
Department of Defense since 1979 and currently performs services
for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) at Yuma Proving
Ground, AZ; Fort Hood TX; Ft Greely, AK; and in the Republic of
Panama. All positions are full-time and have generous health care,
401(k) and vacation benefits. Salaries are negotiable based on
specific experience and proven performance.
The Facility Security Officer/Security Specialist will play an
integral role on the TRAX Management Team, providing data and
operational support to the leadership team. The successful
candidate will apply their knowledge of security programs and
principles to activities associated with maintaining a safe and
secure environment. The ability to gather and analyze information
will lead to success in this position. The Facility Security
Officer/Security Specialist will be able to ensure compliance with
Government regulations. Experience in the enforcement of standards
for a secure environment protecting personnel, property, and
information will ensure success in this position.
Qualifications
- Manage overall security program for DoD Contractor at
Electronic Proving Ground* Develop and implement security plans,
procedures, and instructions* Develop, implement, and provide
security awareness training for site personnel* Establish and
maintain working relationships with government and internal
customers* Conduct periodic self-inspection and review of security
process to ensure compliance* Enforce standards for a secure
environment for the protection of personnel, property, and
information* Maintain compliance with National Industrial Security
Policy Operating Manual (NISPOM) and supplement requirements,
Department of Defense (DOD) security policies and procedures as
they relate to NISPOM, NSA Industrial COMSEC Manual and Defense
Security Service (DSS)* Serve as the classification management
expert in providing classification guidance to employees and
issuing DD Form 254s; tracking DD Form 254s issued or received*
Responsible for ensuring all personnel clearances remain current*
Review personnel security clearances and periodic reinvestigations
using e-QIP* Maintain document and visitor control records*
Coordinate visit requests* Responsible for ensuring that personnel
are granted access to sensitive information on a need to know
basis* Monitor classified information systems and controlled areas*
Secure and maintain all personnel security clearance records*
Investigate and report security violations and adverse information
reports with the appropriate security agency* Coordinate the
closeout for all classified contracts received and issued* Support
other security disciplines: Personnel, Physical and Information
Systems Security* Work closely with the Physical Security office,
DSS, and OPM investigators* Serves as the Lead over the personnel
located at the Visitor Control Center* Directs work activities and
the scheduling of personnel in Visitor Center* Provides guidance on
the issuance of the Range Pass to all visitors and employees of the
Proving Ground* Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Must have a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in
government/industrial security OR an Associate's degree with 4
years of experience (Military experience and other training may be
accepted in lieu of degree, by discretion of the hiring supervisor)
as FSO or DoD Security Professional* Applicant must possess a Top
Secret security clearance* Must possess or be willing to obtain an
" FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities" (facilities
with approval to store classified material) certification prior to
beginning employment* Must demonstrate success as a Facility
Security Officer (FSO) or equivalent position* Must have in-depth
knowledge of NISPOM, JPAS and e-QIP* Must be able to interpret and
implement SCI and SAP security policy and guidance and provide
oversight and assistance to staff* Must be able to demonstrate the
ability to implement and manage a comprehensive Security Program by
knowledge and experience* Must be at the intermediate skill level
with Microsoft Office* Must be able to respond to "after hours"
alarms or emergencies* Must have excellent written and oral
communication skills* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug
screening and physical* Must be able to work extended hours with
little prior notice* Must possess the ability to work in field
conditions to perform required inspections and investigations*
Highly developed analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving
skills* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is a
top priority* Must share a commitment to maintaining a positive,
collaborative work environment while simultaneously optimizing
individual performance and contribution
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- The work of this position is performed in an environmentally
controlled office environment and sometimes in the field where you
are subject to the environment* Must be capable of sitting and
entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time*
Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time*
Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted* Reasonable accommodation
