Benefits Introduction The City of Tucson Information Technology
Department (ITD) provides support for all departments within the
City organization spanning several lines of business including
citizen services, public safety, public works, and back-office
business applications. The diversity of business functions and
supporting technologies makes for a dynamic work environment that
is both challenging and rewarding. The ITD is looking for a
Microsoft 365 Exchange Online Administrator. The individual must
have a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Exchange Online
Administrator roles, duties, and daily performance operations as
well as experience with Azure Active Directory. Focused Knowledge
(Office 365): * Office 365 administration experience. * Experience
with Azure AD and Exchange. * Office 365 SharePoint Administrator
experience. * Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems.
This position requires advanced systems support, analytical, and
documentation skills to support the business needs of the
organization. Systems Administrators frequently interact with
stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The Information
Technology Department is a 24/7 operation. The successful candidate
will be required to serve in an on-call status to respond to
requests and emergencies occurring after normal business hours.
General Description The Systems Administrator administers,
troubleshoots, installs, and maintains the City's Microsoft
Exchange Online 365 environment as well as servers, storage, server
operating systems, systems monitoring, and systems documentation.
Essential Functions Monitors the operation of the City's server
infrastructure, hardware, and operating systems, both on and
off-premises. Provides technical support to other team members
within the IT Department Responsible for the maintenance,
configuration, and reliable operation of server hardware, operating
systems, and virtualization. Evaluates vendor products for Local
Area Network hardware and software and makes recommendations for
purchases that are consistent with short and long term Information
Technology and City strategy. Establishes Local Area Network
policies, standards, and procedures and ensures adherence to City
system security procedures. Maintains backup procedures, Local Area
Network data integrity, and Local Area Network disaster recovery
procedures. Administers the City's enterprise e-mail application,
Office 365, its on-going maintenance, user e-mail problem
resolution and associated hardware, gateways, and software Minimum
Qualifications Minimum Education Level & Type: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience Qualifications: At least 3 years local area
network administration An equivalent combination of education,
training and experience which provides the required knowledge,
skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of this
position may be considered. Preferred Qualifications Experience
with Microsoft 365 Exchange Online as well as in a hybrid
environment Experience with Proofpoint Microsoft certifications a

Upon completion of all examination processes, the highest scoring
applicants will be placed on the Civil Service Employment List. An
applicant's ranking on the Civil Service list will be based on
their final score which will be calculated as: * 20% of your rating
for education and work experience * 80% of your rating for your
panel board interview This recruitment will establish a civil
service list that will be utilized to fill vacancies occurring
within the next 6 months. Veterans, Native American, or Disability
preference points will be added to the final score for those that
are placed on the Civil Service Employment List. If you qualify for
preference points as outlined in the Employment Profile, you must

support of Public Safety related systems therefore, the successful
candidate will be required to pass an extensive criminal background
check conducted by the Tucson Police Department. Fingerprinting and

passing any of the above requirements. A valid Arizona Driver's
