Summary: Provides leadership and vision in the development and
implementation of STEM programming and digital technologies at the
school and district level using the goals and principles of the
district's STEM integration model.
Essential Functions: (Essential functions, as defined under the

and tasks performed by this job class.)
General Responsibilities:
- Serves as the primary leader for the school and district's
technology and STEM-related needs and initiatives by planning for
and facilitating day-to-day use of digital resources and providing
professional learning/training, including summer and New
Teacher/All Staff Orientations, as needed and scheduled, to support
instruction and growth of school staff.
- Collaborates with and supports teachers and instructional
teams/departments in the design and implementation of digital
citizenship lessons and other interdisciplinary STEM learning
experiences/lessons/units, as applicable, to meet academic
standards.
- Participates as a member of a districtwide STEM team under the
supervision of the Associate Superintendent to plan STEM
programming and complete other technology-related
functions/tasks.
- Collaborates with district STEM team to plan, create, and
implement computer science/robotics units, as identified by the
district.
- Coordinates and facilitates beginning-of-year and end-of-year
technology-related functions/tasks and training (e.g., electronic
texts/subscriptions set-up, TeacherVUE/gradebook, LessonVUE,
ParentVUE), and provides ongoing support, as needed.
- Performs the duties of the school-based testing coordinator for
state and district level achievement tests, as assigned.
- Assesses student learning by reporting progress toward
established goals/standards in computer science/robotics, as
required.
- Coordinates schedule for computer science/robotics and STEM
lessons/units, and manages the care and use of equipment at
assigned school.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with
students, teachers, staff, administrators, parents, and
others.
- Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative
regulations, and Governing Board Policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills
and Other Characteristics:
- Knowledge of current research and best practices in technology
and STEM education.
- Excellent organizational, communication, facilitation, and
interpersonal skills.
- Experience in providing professional development and leadership
roles working with adults.
- Knowledge of and skill in multiple communication and technology
applications, such as, but not limited to Google Apps for Education
(Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, etc.), Microsoft tools (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint), Apple tools (Pages, Numbers, Keynote), presentation
software, web-based resources.
- Knowledge of and skill in computer programming, coding, and,
and other technologies in the field of computer science.
- Conversant with CFSD's curriculum and technology standards and
deep learning proficiencies (DLPs).
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or
university.
- Appropriate teaching certificate as issued by the State of
Arizona.
- Minimum five (5) years of teaching experience preferred,
STEM-related preferred, and demonstrated leadership.
- Self-motivated, self-directed, collaborative, and
flexible.
- Strong interest in providing after-school options in
robotics/coding and/or coaching First Lego League teams,
preferred.
