OverviewAnsible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Cytotechnologists -to support the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System located at 3601 S 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85723. Services will be delivered to all requesting departments throughout the facility on a range of schedules. -If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. • Process cytology specimens
• Prepare and stain cytology slides for GYN and non-GYN specimens
• Make preliminary diagnoses independently of the physician cytologist
• Assist with fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy procedures
• Prepare and stains FNA smearsQualifications
  • An Bachelor-level degree from an accredited educational institution
  • ASCP professional certification or equivalent Nationally-recognized Cytopathology -certification or categorical certification in cytopathology
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years - PREFERRED
  • Experience in U.S. Government facilities - PREFERREDAll candidates must be able to:
    • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
    • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
    • Lift up to 20 lbs
    • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
