Job Description and Responsibilities:
The Manufacturing Laser Assembler is a hands-on position on our
manufacturing team, supporting product assembly and testing. This
role will participate in the manufacture and test of all product;
including new prototypes, qualification runs, and product repair

Manufactures high-power diode laser systems and modules.
Responsible for optical alignment and laser testing associated with
diode laser packages or modules. Works primarily from method
sheets, but at times also from diagrams, written, and verbal
descriptions. Uses manufacturing test, development or diagnostic
equipment including but not limited to such equipment as
oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations,
including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks,
as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the
production of parts, components, subassemblies and final
assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate
operating data to conduct on-line adjustments of products. May
assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify
the manufacturing process. Assist with maintaining clean room
operations under direction of management.
Education and Work Experience:
* At least 1-2 years of experience with assembling optics, lasers
or similar product in a manufacturing environment
* At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience with test/lab
* Previous experience using Microsoft office products
* Good dexterity of handling delicate product and instruments
* Attention to detail and ability to follow very technical
instructions (written and verbal)
* Previous experience working effectively in a collaborative team
* Demonstrated flexibility ability to change task or plan
* Ability to communicate and understand highly technical verbal and

Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to
complete assigned tasks. Works on assignments that are semi routine
in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from
accepted practice. Normally follows established procedures on
routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
