Position DetailsPosition InformationTitle Program Coordinator, Senior Department COM Student Affairs (0782) Location University of Arizona Health Sciences Position SummaryThe College of Medicine (COM), Department of Admissions is seeking a highly skilled Program Coordinator, Senior to join our team. This position reports to the Executive Director for The University of Arizona College of Medicine Admissions Office. The role of the Program Coordinator, Senior of Applicant Services is to provide support for COM Admissions utilization of central online application services such as AMCAS as well as assist with interview days and recruitment efforts at the UA, other State universities, community colleges and other national undergraduate institutions. Due to the high volume of annual applications, this position requires a strong candidate to manage the ever-changing and increasing requests to engage with applicants and coordinate an efficient process.The College of Medicine supports the UA's diversity and inclusiveness strategic initiatives designed to create an inclusive environment for all faculty, staff, and students. For more information about working at the University of Arizona and relocations services, please click here.Duties & Responsibilities* Collaborate with and advises staff, students and others to provide technical and problem solving assistance for AMCAS, UAccess, and other university systems that support application processes; refers to appropriate department person when unable to respond.* Coordinate efficient utilization of similar online applications and web-based systems to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures and specifications.* Direct the operation and manages effectiveness of COM usage of AMCAS and other online systems such as Application Management Program (AMP), as well as locally developed interfaces, to develop improved methods; confers with and makes recommendations to the Executive Director.* Serve as the designated resource for faculty, staff, AAMC, and outside/community agencies in facilitating student affairs, admissions, student records, and financial aid office objectives.* Work with appropriate staff to plan Admissions recruitment and operational events/meetings as needed.* Manage the applications submitted through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) and Application Management Program (AMP). Conduct primary level screening for eligibility and support subsequent secondary and final screening processes as needed by Admissions Executive Director, Assistant Dean, and Admissions Committee.* Manage the distribution and collection of secondary applications utilizing online system, including the MD/PhD dual degree program.* Assist with scheduling of admission interviews utilizing automated and manual processes.* Work with the Interview Committee and Admissions Director to conduct admission interviews and recruit interviewers.* Assist Admissions Director in facilitating efforts of the faculty Admissions Committee. Executes data entry of admissions committee actions in AMCAS web-based system.
