Job Summary: The -Test Equipment and Environments Center -(TE&EC) is -within the -Systems Integration & Test -directorate at -Raytheon Missiles and Defense. The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) includes all of the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon Missile Defense (RMD) products. The Mission of the Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication Department (also known as the Bike Shop) is to provide rapid, innovative, and affordable engineering solutions and prototype fabrication that demonstrate new technologies and capabilities, from concept through flight demonstration. We also provide quick-turn innovation, design, fabrication, assembly, and test capabilities in support of existing and future program engineering needs. We are looking for qualified candidates to support the composites team to fabricate printed molds and composite parts including fiberglass-reinforced epoxy, carbon-reinforced epoxy, rubber, urethane, and other composite materials.--- Projects can range from a quick proof of concept to flight hardware. - We value diverse skills and experience, so don't hold back. Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Work with sealants, epoxy adhesives, and RTVs, including application and finishing
  • Responsible for inspection and maintenance of composite equipment and molds
  • Manufacture thermal materials using silicones, RTVs, felts and release materials
  • Work with composite wet lay-up's
  • Clean up and finish 3D printed parts -Qualifications You Must Have:
    • High School Diploma required
    • 6 or more years relevant composites experience.
    • Experience using composite lay-up materials such as peel-plies, release films, breather cloths and bagging materials.
    • Experience using polystyrenes, epoxies and polyurethane adhesives and structural acrylic adhesives for the purpose of composite lay-ups, mold making, structural bonding and repairs.
    • Experience mixing and applying epoxy adhesives, acrylic adhesives, RTV adhesives, metal filled adhesives, molding materials and silicone materials. Qualifications We Value:
      • Ability to read drawings. Understanding of CREO and CREO models.
      • Ability to work with engineering to create mold making concepts, composite lay-up schedules, composite structures, molding isolators, gaskets and seals, antennas and working with RAM materials.
      • Ability to repair composite structures. Bonding and assembling composite structures. Bonding and assembling components, materials and assemblies using epoxy adhesives, acrylic adhesives, silicones and RTVs.
      • Ability to manufacture thermal materials using silicones, RTVs, felts and release materials for the manufacture and repair of thermal boots for electronic assembly testing.
      • AA / AS degree
