Job Description:

Areas of focus will be operating the manufacturing machining, metrology, functional test and dicing centers. Including general day to day cleanroom housekeeping along with other sales order fulfilment activities including: packing, shipping, labelling. Additionally, to provide production support to ensure the efficient running of the production facility. Ensuring the availability of production equipment and tooling to satisfy workload requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  
• Loading, unloading and processing on production equipment of optical components
  
• Operation of Manufacturing Machining, Metrology, Functional Test and Dicing Centres
  
• Preparation of optical glass substrates ready for processing
  
• Inspection of optical parts under microscope , and investigation of cause of defects
  
• Monitoring and replenishment of substrate stocks
  
• Packaging and shipping of product to outside vendors and customers
  
• General cleanroom housekeeping
  
• Transactional and stock management in MS NAV ERP System
  
• Provide 1 st and 2 nd line support for the production facility, production capacity, both manufacturing and metrology, Collaborate with the production facility in UK, to ensure clear work instructions are in place for the effective and consistent operation of equipment
  
• Routine monitoring for manufacturing and metrology equipment, actioning by event as appropriate
  
• Ensure the collation of device history records, providing audit and traceability for the products manufactured
  
• Create and manage metrology inspection plans used during production . Liase with Product Development to ensure they are optimized for the product and minimize inspection time
  
• Ensure the company values are always upheld when performing this role
  
  
  Required qualifications and experience
  
  
  • 
    
  • Consolidated experience in a precision manufacturing industry
    
  • Operated in a clean room with precision CNC or similarly computer-controlled equipment
    
  • Experience of manual visual inspection techniques
    
  • Conducting electro-mechanical routine maintenance activities
    
    
    Desirable requirements:
    
    
    
  • Undertaken train the trainer education
    
  • Optoelectronic or semi-conductor industry experience
    
  • Production within a regulated environment
