Integrated Solutions Modeling & Architecture (ISMA) directorate
develops, evaluates, and implements -architecture solutions for our
customers' largest, most complex challenges across all operational
domains. In the Operations and Mission Analysis Department you'll
be part of a special team that analyzes the world's most
challenging threats and helps define new capabilities to counter
them, pushing the boundaries of innovation, and leading the
industry in operational modeling and simulation using our
purpose-built software. As a team member in the Operations Research
section, you will join a high-performing team of fellow engineers
working to support the customer across the operational
domains.Raytheon's Operation Research department is currently
seeking a Operations Research Analyst, Senior Systems Engineer.
This is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ.What You Will Do
- Develop, analyze, and assess system operations and results
specific to the customer's operational problem sets in the
operational domains of maritime, land, air, and space.
- Use software tools and methods, campaign analysis, and system
level visualization to describe results and recommendations to the
customer.
- Develop and visualize solutions to worldwide challenges which
benefit our warfighters.
- Develop and integrate computer models and simulations which
effectively capture systems of systems effects in varied and
complex threat environments. You will use the model to generate
virtual and/or analytical solutions, identify technology gaps, and
demonstrate operational benefits of new concepts in complex
scenarios.
- Develop requirements, and test system performance.
- Provide support to simulation, modeling and analysis activities
throughout the product lifecycle.After some initial experience, you
can expect to also use your skills to augment and support:
- Contribute to system modeling and data analysis activities for
the purpose of supporting new business, missile system design and
performance.
- Collaborate in a team environment, receive input from the
program, external customers, or team experts, and work on complex
projects, as you determine, develop, and implement analytic
approaches that will generate the supporting data to inform
programmatic decisions.
- Participate in the development and implementation of
model-based solutions to support mission trade studies using
mission and engagement level simulations to ensure they meet
defined requirements and performance. -Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering
or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant
experience.
- Modeling & simulation experience with government engagement
models: AFSIM, Brawler, Radguns, and/or ESAMS
- Object-oriented design using C/C++
- Scripting experience with Shell, Perl and/or Python
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued
security clearance is required prior to start dateQualifications We
Prefer
- Advanced Degree in Operations Research, Computer Engineering,
Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial
Engineering, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, or Mathematics
preferred. - (Advanced degree can count as additional
experience)
- Experience with statistical and data analysis and commercial
data analysis software packages.
- Experience using Unix or Linux computing environments
- Experience in Software requirements development and Software
design, integration, and test.
- Experience communicating and interacting with government
counterparts
- Experience with STL and Boost Libraries

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work
primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance
employees, as they are essential to the development of our
products.Location:Tucson, AZ: The salary range for this role is
82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith
estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers
several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited
to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a
candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key
