Job Description: As the department manager of Test Engineering, you will lead a multi-discipline engineering group of approximately 200 engineers supporting factories in Tucson (AZ), Farmington and Albuquerque (NM), Huntsville (AL), Camden (AR) and Louisville (KY). This department supports and maintains production test within the RMS factories with an objective to drive product test integrity by engaging throughout the product lifecycle to maintain and control test systems, improve test processes and influence testability in the product design. The department manager is responsible for setting goals and strategies that align with Raytheon and Operations strategies while making a positive impact on factory and program metrics. The department manager will lead strategic initiatives and collaborate with other RMS functions and RTN business units to achieve company goals and objectives. The department manager is responsible for sustaining the use of standard tools and to removing barriers to ensure successful design and implementation of production test processes for products across the RMS product lines. The department manager will be integral to initiatives such as FRACAS, escape elimination, and on time delivery. The department manager establishes and monitors Test Engineering policies and command media to ensure effectiveness and compliance within the organization. The department manager is responsible for staffing to adequately meet factory and program requirements according to budgets. This includes participation in hiring events and recruiting, maintaining adequate requisitions and balancing staffing requirements across all production factories. Required Skills: - Minimum of 12 years of related experience including 5 years of recent management experience leading moderate size organization consisting of engineers and/or manufacturing test support personnel. - Demonstrated technical/engineering experience with emphasis in factory test or test design environment - Ability to comfortably interact with executive leadership and collaborate with Directors of various disciplines. - Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation). - Knowledge of manufacturing engineering tools and processes across the product life cycle. - Ability to work in a fast paced environment. - Cross functional acumen in Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering - Active DOD secret security clearance. * Desired Skills: - Knowledge of the PRISM shop floor system and data analysis tools, such as FAST and WebDRAGON. - Experience in financial planning and budgeting skills (overhead, cost controls). - Demonstrated experience in effective talent development. - Knowledge of program management tools such as earned value, basis of estimate development, and project planning. - Knowledge in risk identification and assessment. * Required Education (including Major): - Majors: BS in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics * This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization. 124981 Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
