(Arizona time) Position Summary The Center for Training and Development: The Center for Training and Development (CTD) provides industry-driven student-centered training designed for direct employment and career development. The Support Technician provides general information and services to students, staff, funding agencies and the general public relating to College inquiries and requests for information in the areas including but not limited to: CTD Information Sessions Records Requests Clock Hour Program Processes and Procedures General Program Information FERPA Compliance The work schedule for this position may include workingevenings and weekends. Duties and Responsibilities * Perform various intermediate office support duties, utilizing standard office equipment, which may include: * Photocopying documents * Providing customer service * Typing and data entry * Researching and responding to inquiries from College faculty, staff, students, and the general public * Providing information regarding College processes and procedures * Prepare and maintain confidential records, including standard correspondence and working calendars * Answer the telephone and directs calls * Take and transmit messages * Assemble and compile data for incorporation into reports * Create spreadsheets, maintain databases and reconcile invoices * May schedule, train, assign, and monitor the work of temporary staff and student aides * Assist with the preparation and distribution of mailings, fliers, lists, packets, and schedules of activities * Maintain and coordinate room schedules to ensure arrangements are made for meetings, activities and college events * Order and distribute supplies and maintain inventory * Prepare orders and related forms using established procedures * Participate in meetings and special projects with staff as directed * Perform other duties of a similar nature or level Job Requirements * High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree and * Two years of office experience, including experience using computers or * An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above Preferred Requirements: * Bilingual skills The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: * High ethical standards * Open to change and continuous improvement * Desktop computing and applicable software and programs * Record keeping principles: maintaining accurate and detailed records, maintaining confidential student records, performing data entry, verifying and proofing entries, processing various forms and applications * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Superior customer service skills: working with diverse populations and peoples * Interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public * Can apply state and federal guidelines and regulations * Excellent planning and organization skills and the ability to prioritize while performing multiple tasks * Allocate resources efficiently * Demonstrate high quality judgment and decision making using critical thinking and complex problem solving techniques Directions for Applying and Other Important Information In order to apply for a position, applicants must submit an application and include the required documents listed for the position.
