Job Description:
Sonora Quest Laboratories, a leader in diagnostic healthcare in
Arizona, seeks a Technical Specialist for Anatomic Pathology. A
joint venture between Banner Health and Quest Diagnostics, we
integrate cutting-edge techniques and tools to cater towards
diverse patient needs. Through this role, you will enhance our
laboratory services by delivering precise anatomic pathology
testing and analysis, ensuring high standards of care and advancing
our mission to provide insightful and punctual medical results.
Oversee the daily operations of anatomic pathology testing and
ensure compliance with all clinical, TJC, and regulatory standards.
Provide expert analysis and interpretation of tissue specimens,
following the latest pathology protocols and technologies.
Supervise, train, and evaluate lab technicians and other supporting
staff within the anatomic pathology department. Collaborate with
multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate pathology services
with comprehensive patient care. Conduct quality control and
quality assurance procedures, maintaining accurate records and
complying with industry standards. Implement new testing
techniques, ensuring technological advancement and operational
efficiency. Manage the procurement of lab supplies and maintenance
of pathology equipment. Strong expertise in histotechnology and
tissue analysis. Proficiency in using pathology laboratory
technologies and equipment. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills. Stellar analytical and problem-solving
abilities. Ability to perform detailed and complex tasks
methodically and accurately. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified by the American
Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent. State
licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist or similar (if
applicable).
